Our next meeting
Following on from the success of our very first Zoom night competition, we will be continuing to use the Zoom platform to get together during the coming months, until the health authorities advise it is ok to discontinue social distancing.
So our first Zoom Share Night will be held next Wednesday night - April 22. You will be sent an email during the day giving all the log in details, so watch out for that. And if you haven't done so already, please check your email info in MPC is up to date - we would hate to have you miss out on catching up with all the members.
So whats on the program for the next Share Night?
Gerry is putting together a presentation about the Camera Capers to Maleny - should be lots of laughs and the winners of the photographic contest will finally be revealed along with the couple/s who managed to find the most mystery items.
Also, as our set subject for June is Action, Bill Ewen will presenting his explanation to us all of how to achieve great action shots.
Action is also the Interclub Subject for 2020 and the definition for Action is...'This can include animate or inanimate objects involved in any form of action. It is not limited to human activity. The possibilities are infinite but as long as the main thrust of the image implies action then it will be acceptable under the definition'.

New Competition Entry Procedures
Following on from our Committee Meeting last night we wish to advise the following regarding our Competitions for the rest of the year - or until further notice.
PRINTS - Do not upload prints from now onwards - until further notice.
DPI's - As judging conditions have changed for judges, and not wishing to overload the voluntary judges with heaps of work, we have decided to limit the number of DPI entries to competitions.
So you may now only enter one (1) image per category- which will mean a total of three (3) images per member, per comp.
This new limit will apply until further notice.
If you have uploaded multiple images to our June comp (and later months too), please go into MPC and delete the image/s you do not wish to have entered - otherwise Peter, our Webmaster, will choose the image to go into the comp and you may not like his choice!!!

Share Nights
Our Share Night Coordinator Helen, would like to hear suggestions from YOU on topics you may like to see on a Share Night and if you know of any one who may give a presentation. The person can be amateur or professional - if they have a great photographic journey they might wish to share with us can you let Helen know please. Some good examples would be Richard West who gave a talk on his ride around Australia in record time on his motorbike. Or perhaps Gregs caravan trip around Australia with Marga. Of course if you know of someone like Julie Geldard or Wanda Craswell who are both great photographers, then your suggestions will be very much appreciated by Helen.
