The next meeting of the Caloundra Camera Group will be held on February 26 and it will be a share night.
The subject is a Macro/Close Up practical night with Mike West. Mike will define both Macro and Close Up photography and guide you through the processes of shooting and processing your images.
What to bring? Bring your camera, a macro lens or something that will shoot close up or extension tubes, a tripod, camera manual, remote shutter release (or know how activate your 2 second in camera timer).
Due to a little item called the AGM our meeting will start at 7.15 pm and the AGM will start at 7.30 pm.
Following the AGM there will be a very short presentation about Momento Photobooks showing you all the different papers and styles of books you can have and most importantly how you can go about getting 30% off your first book.
During the supper break we can set up for the practical macro photo night. Should be great fun.

Our last meeting
Wow, what a turn out for our first meeting of the year, it was almost standing room only. Negative Space was the subject for the evening and the one and only Wendy Geddes was our judge for the night. Thank you Wendy for a job well done.

Outings for 2020
Gerry has been very busy planning a full year of outings for 2020
February 22 - Maleny Camera Capers. THATS THIS WEEKEND We will meet at 10am at Monica's Cafe, 43 Beech Street Maleny, it's up the top of town. After coffee we will then wander down the street, taking about 15 photos of various objects, signs etc. which you will be given on a slip of paper. Then, whilst we are enjoying lunch all the images will be loaded into the laptop. You must take you images in jpg and only take one image of each subject, no deleting. The photos will be shown at the following share night when the winner will be announced. The winning photo will be the funniest, as judged by a panel of three.
March 21 - Early morning, long exposure sunrise photo shoot at Point Cartwright
April 19 - Day trip to Gympie
May 16 to 18 - Weekend away at Maryborough
July 4 - Christmas in July at Ty and Kathy Fox's place. This is guaranteed to be a fun night and who knows, the Nutbush Sisters may make an encore appearance!
Please mark all these dates in your diary and don't forget to put your name down in the Events book if you are planning on attending.
