Helen is organising some really super topics for our Share nights and
Gerry has heaps of outings planned and yes with Cherry Ripes.
Our first meeting will be on February 10 and will be a competition night - the subject being 'Public Buildings'. The meeting will commence at 7.00 pm. This will allow time for you all to sign in, (yes we do still have to do the Covid stuff) and to lodge your print images with Ann and David. Gerry will open the meeting at 7.15 pm, give you an update on whats happening and introduce our judge for the evening to you, judging will commence at 7.30 pm. Our lovely supper organisers Ken and Colleen will also be on deck to provide a beautiful supper for us all to enjoy.
A reminder
Entries for our March competition, 'Abandoned' close at 11.59 pm on February 10.
We would hate you to miss it.
The definition for 'Abandoned' is...' Perhaps a physical object, something that people tend to leave behind - cigarette butt, a forgotten plant, sports equipment gathering dust in the corner'.

And we really do not have to remind you that your annual membership fees are due now.
If you are not financial you may not enter our comps nor vote at our AGM.

He's Done It Again....
David Bryan has received a Highly Commended for a portfolio of four of his images in the Australian Photography Magazine’s “Photographer of the Year 2020” competition in the Animal & Nature section – he entered four images of Bird Reflections.
David also got a Bronze Medal for his image “Nyala Trio 2”, plus six other Acceptances in the ISO 2020 comp (run by Belgium each year).
Ann also managed to get six Acceptances in this comp too!
Even more exciting was the news last week that one of David's images (Victoria’s Riflebirds) has been selected for the Final round of judging in the Natural History Museum (UK) Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition – David is thrilled to bits about this one!
This is a competition which attracts well over 50,000 entries each year from all over the world, so to reach the final round of judging is pretty special. The winners are announced in March I think and then the winning images normally go on tour (in printed format) around the world, but don’t know if that will happen this year! The overall winner gets a trip to London, all expenses paid - fingers crossed for you on that David.
Well done David. AND Well done Ann.
