Our last meeting
Despite the miserable weather a large crowd of members and friends turned up to see our guest speaker Wanda Craswell - and we were not disappointed. Von shared her love of the water, slow shutter speeds and filters with us and I'm sure we all went home with some new found knowledge.

We extend our best wishes to the next camera club who will take over the reins in 2020.

Open Cockpit Weekend
If you can't make it to our outing to Brisbane on Saturday but still need to get your weekend photo fix then why not wander over to the Queensland Air Museum on either the 6th or 7th of July.
Sit in the pilots seat of an F-111 or even a DC-3. So many vintage planes there to inspect and if you have children (or grandchildren) it is a terrific place to take them to.

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place…
I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
– Elliott Erwitt

In Focus Group
Back in April, Steve Blackbourn from the newly formed In Focus group was our judge for the Nature comp. Steve was looking for new members and quite a few of us are now members of this group and they have in a very short period of time reached their limit of 50 members.
As some of their members are really new to photography and are just coming to grips with what all the buttons on a camera mean, the In Focus group have now formed a sub group for beginners. If any of our newer members are interested in joining this non-competitive group please follow this link to their FB page or you can talk to me about it on Wednesday night.
