It would be great if you can try to arrive at about 7.00 pm for our regulation Covid 19 sign in, and to
allow time to register your prints with Ann,
then Gerry will open the meeting at 7.15 pm, give us an update on whats been happening and
then hand the mic over to Peter O'Brien to get the judging under way at 7.30 pm.
Ken and Colleen will be there to once again to provide us with supper.
See you there.

A reminder
Entries for our April competition, 'Missing' close at 11.59 pm on March 10.
We would hate you to miss it.
The definition for 'Missing' is...' An image with something missing. A comb without teeth, a clock with a hand missing or even a shorn sheep'.

It was suggested at the AGM by a member that the proposed changes made to the program for 2021 should have been put to all the members of the Caloundra Camera Group before the changes were made to the program without prior notice being given to the members.
A response was made apologising to all the members for any upset caused, the intention was not to cause upset but to remedy a situation that occurred because of too many images being entered to our competitions.
A motion was then put...
MOTION: Commencing in 2022, that changes made to categories, sections, grades and number of entries to these competitions be approved by the majority of members present at a General Meeting prior to the start of the year 2022 and then continued for all subsequent years.
MOVED: Bill Ewen SECONDED: Airlie Andrews CARRIED: Yes
The date for the proposed General Meeting will be discussed at the next Committee Meeting, members will be advised accordingly and our calendar will be updated to reflect that date.

On a lighter note
A good crowd of members met at Woodford last Sunday to solve cryptic clues then photograph the result. Lots of fun was had by all and lots of laughs too. Woodford residents were bewildered as to what we were all up to. Thanks Gerry for the organising, everyone is eagerly looking forward to finding out if they are the lucky winners of the Cherry Ripes. Our next fun outing will be on March 28 at Yandina when we plan to team up with Gympie Camera Club members for a photographic word challenge. If interested - and we hope you are - please sign the 'outings' book on Wednesday night. |
