Annual Awards
We are now getting down to the pointy end of the year when the annual awards are made - so you really need to get your thinking caps on to decide which of your images are to be entered for judging of image of the year. As with any comp you entered in 2019, you may enter 2 print and 2 digital images to the open, set and art sections, making a maximum of 12 entries, - these are images of your choice and the score received in prior competition is of no relevance here.
Then there are the additional awards for the following...
The Presidents Trophy - An Unconventional Portrait - this is a print competition for all grades - 2 entries
The Ted Gillingham Trophy - My Country - this is a print competition B Grade only - 2 entries
The Don Attree Founders Award - DPI Nature - a DPI competition for all grades - 1 entry only
The Robin Simpson Trophy - DPI Australian Landscape - a DPI competition for all grades - 1 entry only
Entries close Wednesday, November 13.
For the rules and definitions on all the above competitions please refer to our MPC site > Information for Members > CCG Competition Information > Annual Competitions
or click here to download a PDF of all the info.

PSQ Resignation
An email was received late yesterday advising of the resignation of Sue Gordon, current President of PSQ, who has stood down for personal reasons. We thank her for her years of service and wish her well for the future.
This leaves a vacancy on the Management Committee which none of the current PSQ committee members are willing to fill. Accordingly they are asking if anyone from this club is prepared to nominate for the President position. The period of commitment would be at least until the next election at the AGM in May 2020. If someone expresses an interest in the position, they can contact PSQ Vice President, Adrian Lowe on 0400 517 979 for more information about the role.

Bunya Mountains - Have you put your name down yet to join in the fun?
Please mark these dates in your diaries, October 30 - November 3. We plan to have a 5 night adventure to explore the Bunya Mountains region. Gerry is arranging accommodation in several houses where we can all be together. There is a camp ground but is only suitable to those with camper trailers or tents. This trip has been arranged to allow time for those who work to perhaps arrive on the Friday and leave on the Sunday. Gerry will be letting you all know more about it at our meetings.
